Perimetr hails from Espoo, Finland. The band is a result of occasional jam sessions gaining more participants over time during 2020. Creating original music proved inevitable and the band got to work with arranging the most promising demos into a debut release, which eventually evolved into the EP titled M.P.D. M.P.D., short for Mutually Pursued Destruction, saw the light of day in 2022. The EP ended up displaying the full repertoire of the Perimetr soundscape, ranging from the frantic thrashy riffing of the title song, melo-death influences in Benighted to old-school death metal aggression in Perimetr. The EP ends with a conceptual trilogy of songs, depicting a modern apocalypse. This ensemble demonstrates the more ambitious side of Perimetr songwriting with the last songs The Progeny and Pokoi - Post Hominum clocking over 17 minutes in total, filled with strong dark, doomy atmosphere and dynamic shifts. On the foundation of M.P.D., Perimetr continues to refine their sound and way of creating heavy music with the aim to release new material during 2024.
